A Lago Vista Forest Home – Austin Area Architectural Photography

This lovely hill country craftsman home was designed by Daniel Boardman Residential Design. This project took much longer than anticipated, due to issues with the weather and other reasons, it ended up being photographed in three segments.

One of the standout characteristics of this home is how it sits nestled within a cedar forest. The house’s layout was carefully designed within the space of the trees as can be seen here. This photo is a panorama comprised of three shifts using a 24mm tilt-shift lens.

This home was designed for someone who loves to spend time outside as much as in, which is readily apparent by the extended features and magnificent deck.

The back side of the house features a raised stone chimney, staircases leading from the back porch and a master bedroom porch, and is designed around a mature oak tree. It works wonderfully within the space. Love it.

The interior features include acidized concrete flooring and raised ceilings with with combination of recessed and hanging lighting fixtures.
